WHY PRIVATE SERVICES?

We recognize that you as a parent want the best for your child and your desires are for your child to develope as typical as possible. You may accomplish this desire in many different ways. At times, families choose to secure additional services for their child in order to give their child a little extra encouragement and support towards developmental success. Some families also desire more family-directed services, gaining further collaboration and support from our professionals in understanding their child's special needs.

 

No matter the reason, we are here to support, encourage, and collaborate with you for as long as you may need. Private services are most often provided in a home or community based environment with the parent and caregiver present. Professionals offer direct support to the parent / caregiver in any of the following areas:

  • physical development (movement, balance /coordination);

  • cognitive development (thinking, learning, solving problems);

  • communication (talking, listening, understanding);

  • social/emotional (playing, feeling secure and happy); and

  • self-help (eating, dressing);

  • Sensory Processing / Sensory Regulation.

 

WHO'S ELIGIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMMING?

YI, Inc. Developmental Programming is offered to children of all ages, however, most commonly we serve children between the ages of 0-6 years of age. Please contact us directly if you have a particular need. We are happy to discuss your needs and determine if our services may be right for you and your child. We are also happy to create a customizable program to assist in meeting any unique developmental needs.

 

SERVICES:

Your child will participate in a Play-based Developmental or Therapy education program to be conducted with the parents, child and Developmental and / or Therapy Specialist(s) with an emphasis on parent coaching and education. Program will focus on parent’s priorities for their childs developmental needs as well as the concerns and needs indicated within the child’s assessment findings. Services are provided at a 1:1 specialist/client Ratio by the assigned Developmental Specialist and / or Therapy Specialist(s). All Services are to be provided in the child’s natural environment to best support the child’s natural progression of development. Exceptions may be made if found to be developmentally appropriate, and agreed upon by the team.

 

DEVELOPMENTAL / THERAPY SCREENING:

Upon parent request, Each child may have a developmental and / or therapy assessment or formal screening completed, to determine the child’s current developmental levels to be used as a baseline for entering into services as well as to establish the recommended frequency of services. The Developmental Specialist and / or Therapy Specialist(s) will monitor and track the child’s progress through routine observations and bi-annual progress reports. The family will receive a formal copy of each report completed. The child’s development will also be monitored on an on-going basis through routine observations and adjustments to programming will be made as needed. Young Interventions, Inc. has access to a variety of assessment tools for developmental and therapy services. There is an additional charge for the completion of formal developmental and therapy evaluations. Please refer to our price structure for Private Services.

 

PAYMENT:

All services are to be paid for in advance. You may choose the frequency of your sessions to meet your child and family needs, although Young Interventions, Inc. will provide a recommendation for service frequency based on parent concerns, our clinical judgment and professional observation, as well as factoring in the results of the child’s assessment scores.

 

 

To renew or continue existing services you will need to sign another Service Agreement indicating the number of sessions you wish to contract for and accompany it with the appropriate payment for the services indicated. All service renewals should be received by our office prior to your second to last session in order to avoid any interruptions in your child’s programming. If no payment is received, services will expire as of the last paid session.

 

 

Any cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled session will remain in your bank of paid sessions. Any sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance of a scheduled session, for a non-emergency reason will be charged as a session completed deducting a session from your bank of paid sessions. Any scheduled session that results in a NO-SHOW by the family will be charged as a session completed deducting a session from your bank of paid sessions.
